I liked “Marry Miss” class today. We learned that we all have a purpose in life. I want my patriarchal blessing soon. Well, I’m tired. Good night.

Dear, neat Journal,
Can you believe Jessica got baptized? She sure is growing up! We had to hurry and get dressed. Jimmy, Zach’s friend, slept over and had to come with us. He kept following me; now that’s gross! Jessica was very happy to be baptized. She got the same pink flower from mom and dad, the same necklace and the same baptism poem but hers was framed! We went to eat pizza and to a movie.

Dear Journal,
I haven’t written very many things in you lately, huh? Well, I will tell you now. Let’s see…I didn’t tell you about the rodeo! My dad and I went to a rodeo and watched a bull ride. One bull got his rider off of him, and then found a small hole in the fence. He made it bigger by putting a hoof on it and pulling it down and then he climbed through it so he was loose in the city! My dad and I got on our bikes and followed the bull and all the cowboys off the rodeo grounds, through the park, down the street, through some yards and across the cemetery. At a nearby field, he ran under a bush. All the cowboys, and my dad, surrounded the bush. I hid behind a tree. The bull, of course, broke free and saw me. I guess he didn’t like my bright pink shirt because he chased me around the tree. I barely escaped through a hole in the fence that was there. That was scary! Well, we didn’t get hurt, luckily. I’m glad the bull couldn’t fit through the hole in the fence!

Hi! Guess what! I just got my patriarchal blessing! I was so excited! I’ve been waiting for a long time. When we got there, the patriarch told us about this special blessing. He said that I was the youngest he had ever had come (and I guess I was the 171st person to receive one from him.) Well, I won’t tell you about the blessing, you can read it yourself. I have many special blessings that will help me through life!
