Today we started taking our SAT tests. I don’t like them very much at all. They start stressing me out a whole week before I take them. I hope I do well this year. To be sure I got through all the questions in time; I filled in the answer circles very lightly. I hope we get time tomorrow to darken them; otherwise the whole test will be marked wrong! I don’t want to take it again either. I hate these tests!
SAT stands for Standard Achievement Test. How will they tell if we’ve achieved anything when they scare us so bad we can’t remember what we’ve learned!
Later:
Dear Kristi,
What’s up? Guess what… Do you remember Mark? Well, on Wednesday the 10th (last week) he asked me to be his girlfriend! Can you believe that? I knew he liked me but not that much! He is a really sensitive guy and is afraid of being turned down. He must really, really like me a lot because it took a lot of courage for him to ask me that. That is why it was so hard for me to say “no” to him.
I knew that if I just said “no” he would hate me forever and wouldn’t be my friend anymore. I said “maybe” to bide me some time to think over what I would say. Well, he kind of got tired of waiting for an answer so I told him I was afraid of my parents finding out and to ask me again when I turn 16. He still felt bad but at least we’re still friends!
While I was thinking about what to say, he kept trying to convince me by saying, “We aren’t doing anything wrong if we’re just boyfriend and girlfriend; only if we went on dates or behaved badly together”. He kept offering ways we could have a relationship without anyone knowing.
Anyway, I finally (halfway) said “no”. I told him to ask me again when I turn 16. I know, I know… I’m pathetic.
Oh my heck, I wish all these boys would stop liking me. I feel bad when I have to break their hearts like that. Do you know how many boys like me? As in, right this second? 6! Yup, 6! 14, altogether, have liked me throughout my life. I’ve only really liked Dominic; Rico for a short time and now Nick.
You know what? I’m tired so I’m going to bed. See you soon.
Love, Melonie
