October 3

Hello! How are you, Kristi? I’m okay, I guess. I have TONS of homework!

Guess what! Last Saturday was Lucy’s birthday party. Besides the fact that I got marshmallow stuck to the back of my nice pants; it was so fun! It was a surprise party yet, somehow, she didn’t look all that surprised… We played twister then put Halloween make-up on each other. One of the boys didn’t let us put make-up on him but he compromised by putting on girl’s disco outfit! It was bright pink and way too small for him!

Mark, who had been made-up like an over-done cheerleader, decided to dress-up in one of Lucy’s dresses, a wig and a pair of Ellen’s shoes. Then we all went to the grocery store!

It was so fun! You should have seen the look on some of those people’s faces! Someone even told the manager she’d better “check us out because we could be on drugs”. The manager laughed and told us we looked good.

Dawn was there with us but Lidia… I don’t know what’s up with her lately. She seems to have found a new “best friend”. She doesn’t talk to me anymore. Instead, she is always with another girl.

October 19

My dad and I just went hunting together. We went with Grandpa and my dad’s uncles. It was lots of fun. We got up at 1:45 am and left for Grandpa’s house. When we got there we had some cereal and cinnamon rolls while we waited for the others.

We finally got to Flaming Gorge at about 6 am and split up on the mountain. My dad and I waited at the side of an open area for the deer but… nothing.

Finally, we did see a doe but that was it all day! We moved on and didn’t even see tracks! Dad and I went back to the truck to wait for the others. It wasn’t long before they showed up; they didn’t see anything either! We moved to a different part of the canyon. (Dad and I got to ride in the back of the truck!) We waited again for a buck to show up… nothing. Dad’s uncle joked that it was because I was bad luck! It was fun, none-the-less.
